This is an instruction manual I created for a modified toy with fictitious features. Being for a class, the assignment was given some free wiggle space in what I could make it do, so I decided to give it bottle rockets and pretend it could shoot them.
Unlike the many manuals that seem to relish overloading readers with useless information and distracting graphics, I designed this to be extremely easy to read, straight-forward and easy to navigate. Color coding and clearly labelled sections help most people quickly get on to the business of actually playing with the toy. The document is also compliant with the ADA rules of readability, making proper use of serif and sans serif fonts as suggested.
